    1 in 8 men are affected by prostate cancer – On Saturday 4th August approx 1400 cricketers will play in the EAPL & Two Counties Leagues – that means over 175 cricketers lives will probably be affected – your donations will help them live longer lives!!

    Bury St Edmunds Cricket Club are pleased to announce that Murray Commins a 21 years old left hand batsman and fast medium bowler will play for the club in 2018. Murray plays for South Western Districts in South Africa and made his first class debut in 2016. Two years ago he scored 1016 runs playing for Frinton in the East Anglian Premier League his father John played test cricket for South Africa.

    At Bury St Edmunds apart from playing he will be involved with coaching at all levels in the club with a particular emphasis on developing young players.
    In 2018 the club will be running 4 Saturday, 2 Sunday & Ladies teams. The club are keen to welcome players of all ages and abilities.

    The Victory Sports Ground is in excellent condition with the cricket squares in remarkable order, during the winter the grounds team have worked hard to ensure the playing conditions will be amongst the best in the region.
    Two new fences have been erected which will provide a good backdrop for advertisement boards.
    The strong winds on January have resulted in damage to the outdoor nets however these are due to be repaired in time for the season ahead which commences on Saturday April 14th.
