Bury St Edmunds poor run of form continued being well beaten away to Ashmanhaugh and Barton Wanderers the home side winning the toss and despite losing two early wickets both to Tom Rash piled on the runs with Zak Tribe scoring 222 not out in a total of 429.5. Bury were never in the contest being all out for 225.Rash finished with 3.92. Bury lost Will Routledge early for 4 and Alex Jones (18) Rash (48) put on 76 runs with Freddie Hedreich (36) for the 3rd wicket Ben Whittaker scored 36 and Alex Maynard added 48 being last out. in a disappointing day.
Bury in recent years have done better in the 50 over format which returns after next week’s round of games.

Bury St Edmunds 2nd team hosted Hadleigh in the game of the day in Two Counties Division One.
Hadleigh won the toss and had no hesitation in batting on what was a very good track with very quick outfield. The visitors were soon two wickets down Lovejeet Singh and Thomas Piddington who last week scored a century both out without scoring to Tom Davey. Matthew Kent and Callum Morrin rebuilt the innings reaching 72.3 when Kent was out to Isaac Walshe soon after a batting mix left the batsman stranded the ball reached Graham Napier who delivered the throw to see Morrin run out. Ainsley Ndlouv scored 22 before being well caught and bowled by Zyan Imam soon after Jack Auld was bowled by Sam Aldous for 42 at 146.6 there followed an excellent partnership between Marlon Dias (52) and Josh Davey (59) both were out to Krishan Sinha but the 116 runs scored were vital in a final total of 278. Walshe coming back to take the final two wickets.
Bury’s reply was not easy as Jack Auld bowled with real pace having Max Whittaker bowled for 6, James Sturgeon batted very well making most of the runs when Oscar Black was out on 65.2. Napier came in at number 4 and stated slowly getting to grips with the wicket, Sturgeon took a secondary role in support and was out for a well-played 62 at 140.3. Imam added 7 but it was the quality of Napier than lit up the Victory Ground scoring 116 off 102 deliveries with 13 x 4 and 5 x 6. Napier was out to a standing ovation all round. Caught Piddington off young Harry Alexander. Captain James McKinney had played an important role taking many singles in support at 233.5. Bury should have seen the game over the line but McKinney was out for 30. Wickets fell as the tail succumbed to some good Hadleigh bowling. Bury needed 9 to win as the final over commenced but Davey took a single and Sinha was unable to hold on as Hadleigh won by just 8 runs in an outstanding cricket match. Ndlouv finishing with excellent figures of 10.1.18.4. Two wickets each for Auld and Singh.
Bury’s 3rd team had a good win at home to Kelvedon and Feering’s 2nd team, the visitors batted first scoring 140 Ruman Malik making 39 and George Barton 27, Danny Harrison led the way with 4.28 brother Max taking 2.32 and it was good to have James Godden playing again with 3.33.
Bury’s reply struggled being 15.3 but Simon Aldous made a steady 15 from 40 deliveries as Nick Curran batted well for the second week running scoring 45 and Sam Harrison finished off the task with 50 not out.
A win away at Stowupland 2nds for the 4th team Bury batted first and scored 194 John Nicol top scored with 29, Imogen Grove followed last weeks good effort with 27, Alex Malcom added 20 and the Raghavendra brothers did well Manav with 26 and Mayant 18. Stowupland were all out for 109 Jake Taylor top scored with 39 before being caught by wicket keeper Leo Park off Michael Faulkner who took 2 more wickets, Jala Pathan also taking 2.49. A wicket each for Oscar and Imogen Grove.
Bury’s Sunday team lost at home to Brockley in a very good natured game, groundsman Stuart Fisher being in the Brockley ranks, Bury scored 102 thanks in the main to John Hartwright with 48. Brockley lost two early wickets but reached the target with 5 wickets taken. The cause was not helped as Jacob Meredith damaged his hand after taking two early wickets for just 3 runs.
