On Saturday March 28th from 9.30 we are having a ground preparation day this involves tidying up the outdoor nets, painting the site screens and other general activities.
A lot has already been done I have taken 8 benches back to the farm and 9 advert boards for repair and painting, we await the delivery of the new electronic scoreboard for the main ground, you will be aware last season the scoreboard failed on a number of occasions and we were unable to get it repaired.
The new scoreboard will be amongst the best available for club cricket with batsman's names, counting each delivery and a Duckworth/Lewis/Stearn score when needed on screen.
Tickets for the Evening with Terry Butcher and Russell Osman are selling well and we expect them to be sold out before the night.
The Sportsman's Evening with Jason Gallian is selling well but we need more people to sign up, this event is vital to secure funds for the new scoreboard.
